Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will engage in a variety of impactful activities, including:

• Designing and implementing evidence-based care plans tailored to the unique needs of students.
• Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate intervention strategies.
• Delivering individual and group therapy sessions to students, focusing on enhancing coping skills and resilience.
• Collaborating actively with teachers, parents, and school administrators to provide holistic support for students’ mental health needs.
• Utilizing modern telehealth platforms to ensure continuity of care, especially in a remote setting.
• Monitoring clients' progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on assessments and feedback.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be students in the K-12 education system who may be facing various emotional and behavioral challenges. This role requires sensitivity and adaptability as you work with diverse populations, including those struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health issues. You will also provide guidance and resources to their families, enhancing the support system around each student.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• An active LCSW license in the state of Nevada.
• Demonstrated experience in mental health care, particularly with children and adolescents.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with students from various backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, preference will be given to candidates who possess:

• Previous experience working within school settings or with child and adolescent populations.
• A background in developing and delivering workshops for parents and teachers on mental health awareness.
• Skills in using therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
