Job description

Clayton Services is searching for a Front Desk Receptionist to join a thriving company in North Houston. The Front Desk Receptionist will be responsible for managing the corporate office front desk, welcoming visitors, answering incoming calls, and providing general administrative support. The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, dependable, and comfortable interacting with employees, customers, vendors, and visitors throughout the day. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly preferred.
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $17.00-$20.00/hour
Benefits: Excellent benefits available after the successful completion of the temporary period, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and more.
Front Desk Receptionist Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome visitors, customers, vendors, and employees in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls to the appropriate individuals or departments.
  • Maintain a professional and organized front desk and reception area.
  • Assist visitors with check-in and direct them to the appropriate person or location.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries.
  • Perform general administrative and clerical duties, including filing, scanning, copying, and data entry.
  • Assist with preparing documents, correspondence, and other basic office materials.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical records as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to office personnel and various departments.
  • Assist with scheduling, office coordination, and other day-to-day administrative needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling company, employee, and customer information.
  • Perform additional administrative and receptionist duties as assigned.
Front Desk Receptionist Skills and Abilities:
  • Friendly, outgoing, and professional personality.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional phone presence and communication skills.
  • Ability to make a positive first impression with visitors and callers.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage interruptions in a busy office environment.
  • Dependable, punctual, and willing to assist wherever needed.
  • Comfortable working with computers, email, and standard office equipment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with individuals at all levels of an organization.
Front Desk Receptionist Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous receptionist, front desk, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a corporate or professional office environment is a plus.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are highly preferred.
