Job description

The Installation Manager will serve as a critical link between field crews, project management, customers, subcontractors, and company leadership. Strong communication skills in English and Spanish are essential to effectively lead crews and coordinate field operations.


THIS POSITION HAS EXTENSIVE TRAVEL FROM 50-80% THROUGHOUT THE US.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate day-to-day field installation activities across multiple projects.
  • Lead, direct, and support installation crews in the field.
  • Communicate project requirements, schedules, drawings, specifications, and installation procedures clearly to field personnel.
  • Serve as the primary field contact for customers, project managers, general contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, transportation, and other resources required for successful installations.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate updates, challenges, and schedule impacts to management.
  • Ensure crews understand and follow project plans, specifications, quality requirements, and company procedures.
  • Conduct or assist with daily jobsite planning, safety meetings, toolbox talks, and crew coordination.
  • Identify potential field issues early and work with project management to develop practical solutions.
  • Monitor workmanship and installation quality throughout each project.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, repairs, punch-list items, and project closeout activities.
  • Maintain accurate field documentation, including daily reports, production records, material usage, equipment logs, and other required paperwork.
  • Assist with estimating manpower and production requirements for upcoming projects.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers regarding labor, schedule, materials, equipment, and customer requirements.
  • Help train, mentor, and develop installation personnel.
  • Enforce company safety policies and promote a strong safety culture on every jobsite.
  • Ensure proper care, maintenance, and use of company equipment and tools.
  • Travel regularly to project locations and provide leadership and support wherever needed.
  • Perform other duties related to field operations and installation management as required.

Bilingual Communication

Fluency in English and Spanish is required. The Installation Manager must be able to:

  • Communicate instructions, expectations, and safety requirements clearly in both languages.
  • Translate technical and operational information between office management and Spanish-speaking field personnel.
  • Facilitate effective communication within diverse installation crews.
  • Address questions, concerns, and jobsite issues professionally and promptly.


Qualifications

  • Previous experience managing construction, installation, environmental, civil, geosynthetic, liner, or related field operations.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage field crews.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
  • Strong understanding of construction jobsite operations and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather and jobsite conditions.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively to project locations.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, or varying schedules when project demands require.
