Job Summary:
NEOGOV is a company within the Illinois Attorney General's Office, and they are seeking an Information Security Systems Analyst. The role involves maintaining data security, implementing security measures, conducting audits, and managing network security protocols.
Responsibilities:
• help supervise the IT network staff
• ensure that all network data and system development information is secure and follows cyber security protocols
• maintaining data and monitoring security
• planning, implementing and upgrading security measures, policies and controls
• conducting internal and external security audits
• analyzing security breaches
• conduct penetration testing
• manage network, intrusion detection and prevention systems
• research, recommend and install appropriate tools and countermeasures
• coordinate security plans with outside vendors
• protect digital files and information systems against unauthorized access, modification or destruction.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or five years of professional experience in information systems or any equivalent combination of training and experience in information security.
• Working knowledge and understanding of network protocols and system behavior.
• Knowledge of ISO27001, DLP, AV, anti-malware, TCP/IP, computer networking, cloud computing, routing and switching.
• Understanding of Windows, UNIX and Linux operating systems.
• Proficiency in C, C++, C#, Java or PHP programming languages.
• Experience in penetration testing.
• Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work well independently or with a team.
• Ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships with other employees and the general public.
• Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner with limited or no supervision.
Preferred:
• Experience in penetration testing.
