The company’s product line ranges from cost-effective, high-volume shipping labels to specialized durable labels and tags designed for demanding environments. With five strategically located distribution centers across the United States, Continental Datalabel provides rapid response times and dependable service to customers. Team members join a business focused on product breadth, application expertise, and operational efficiency.

Role Description The Flexographic Product Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Elgin, IL. This role oversees the flexographic label product portfolio, including planning, development, and lifecycle management of pressure sensitive label and tag solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing market trends and customer needs, defining product requirements, and coordinating with production, sales, and procurement to ensure product quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. The Flexographic Product Manager collaborates with operations on press capabilities and materials, supports sales with product expertise and technical information, and monitors performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. The role also involves managing product documentation, assisting with pricing strategies, and contributing to new product introduction and process optimization initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Experience in flexographic printing, label and tag manufacturing, or a related pressure sensitive products environment, with strong understanding of materials, presses, and converting processes.
  • Product management or product development skills, including requirements gathering, lifecycle management, and coordination across production, sales, and supply chain teams.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills for interpreting market data, pricing scenarios, and performance metrics to guide product decisions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and provide clear technical and commercial guidance.
  • Organizational and project management skills to prioritize multiple initiatives, maintain documentation, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with common business and productivity software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, ERP or inventory systems) to support analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of quality standards, safety practices, and continuous improvement methodologies (such as Lean or Six Sigma) is beneficial.
