Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team at the Medical Group Center. Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, allowing you to effectively balance your professional responsibilities with personal commitments. While you will work from a home office, you will be heavily involved in school-based initiatives, collaborating closely with educators, school administrators, and other mental health professionals to support students. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to determine the therapeutic needs of students, identifying specific strengths and challenges.
• Create personalized treatment plans based on assessment results, tailored to meet the individual needs of each student.
• Lead individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices, adapting modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques to engage students effectively.
• Collaborate with school personnel, including teachers, counselors, and administrative staff, to promote a supportive, trauma-informed school environment.
• Educate and support families by providing resources and strategies to foster mental wellness at home and in their communities.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment progress in compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse population of students from various backgrounds, tackling issues ranging from anxiety and depression to behavioral challenges and trauma. Your role will not only involve direct therapy but will also include community outreach efforts to educate families and engage students in school mental health initiatives.

Qualifications

• A current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a Master’s degree is preferred because of the complexities involved in mental health within educational settings.
• Extensive hands-on experience in mental health counseling, particularly in working with adolescents, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with best practices for managing a wide range of mental health disorders and how they manifest in a school setting.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills to facilitate effective collaboration with students, families, and educational staff.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a school or educational environment.
• Experience implementing school-based mental health programs or interventions.
• Active participation in continuing education, with special training in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, or cultural competence in therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

• A competitive salary range of USD 60,000 to 104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
