Sales Associate – Russell Marine

Location: Russell Marine - Lake Martin / Alexander City / Smith Lake
Position Type: Full-Time
Department: Sales

Position Summary

As a Boat Salesman at Russell Marine, you will represent one of Alabama’s premier marine dealerships, helping customers choose the perfect boat for their lifestyle on the lake. You will guide buyers through the full sales process—from initial consultation and boat selection to financing and delivery—while upholding Russell Marine’s standard of exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and build strong relationships while representing Russell Marine’s brand and values.
  • Assess customer needs to recommend appropriate boat models across leading brands such as Sea Ray, Nautique, GODFREY Pontoons, SPORTSMAN Center Consoles and more.
  • Conduct boat presentations, walkthroughs, and on-water demonstrations on Lake Martin or other Russell Marine locations.
  • Generate accurate price quotes, negotiate effectively, and close sales to meet monthly and annual goals.
  • Prepare and finalize paperwork including purchase agreements, financing, registration, and warranties.
  • Maintain knowledge of current and incoming inventory across Russell Marine’s various locations.
  • Collaborate with the service department to ensure seamless boat preparation, delivery, and after-sale support.
  • Participate in dealership events including demo days, boat shows, and promotional activities.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and ensure the showroom and lot are customer ready.
  • Stay current with boating trends, marine technology, and training opportunities offered by Russell Marine.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in sales (marine, automotive, RV, or powersports preferred).
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with a genuine passion for boating and lake lifestyle.
  • Knowledge of boats, marine engines, and lake recreation—or willingness to be trained by Russell Marine.
  • Ability to work weekends and peak-season hours.
  • Valid driver’s license; boating certification (or ability to obtain one).
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a high-traffic dealership environment.
