Marathon Petroleum Company'sL&S Terminalshasopeningsforshore-based Tankerman based out of the Kenova, WVTerminal. This position will report to theKenova TerminalSupervisor.Supporting the shipment and receipt of petroleum productsviabarge, this position is critical in playing a prominent role in enhancing life's possibilities by blending,distributingand delivering quality products in a safe,reliableand competitive manner.

This position works in all weather conditions, both day and nighton 12-hour rotatingshift.The Tankerman must be able to work safely and independently whilemaintainingmotivation toeffectively and efficiently complete the job.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conductingbarge transfers(loading and unloading)based on Marathon's procedures and all applicable USCG regulations/guidelines.

• Troubleshooting barges, performing minor maintenance on barges and being proficient in all phases of barge transfers, including heater operation on hot oil barges.

• Gauging, sampling, hooking up,samplingand laboratory testing of petroleum products.

• Stair climbing,lifting upto 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, and often working outdoors.

• Preparing terminal reports,maintainingrecordsanddocumentingall transfer times to be turned into the officein a timely manner.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED

• Must obtain andmaintaina valid Merchant Marine Credential (MMC) with Tankerman PICwithin 6 months of hire date

• Mustqualifyandmaintaina validTWIC card

• Ability to learn basic computer skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide and ability to document andmaintainaccuraterecords

• Ability to learn mechanical and electrical systems

• Travel: Up to 25%

Preferences:

• Associate degree or vocational technical training

• Previousriver industry experience(tank barge worker)and/or petroleum industry experience
