Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate patients’ needs and mental health status, utilizing established protocols and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
  • Create tailored treatment plans grounded in evidence-based practices to address the individual circumstances of each patient, ensuring integration of therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for individuals to share experiences and learn from one another as they navigate the recovery process.
  • Deliver educational resources and supportive counseling to patients and their families, empowering them with tools needed for recovery and ongoing mental health management.
  • Engage in peer consultations and professional development opportunities, incorporating feedback and the latest research findings to continually improve treatment outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and state regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be individuals experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues, typically situated at various stages of the detoxification process. By providing empathetic support and structured treatment plans, you will help these individuals address their challenges and lay the groundwork for lasting recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) is required, along with an active Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) license in the state of Washington.
  • A minimum of two years of direct clinical psychotherapy experience is necessary, demonstrating your ability to work effectively in a therapeutic setting.
  • Proficiency in solution-focused therapeutic interventions, with a sound understanding of evidence-based practices in mental health care.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a detox or addiction treatment setting is highly desirable, as it provides insight into the unique needs of patients navigating recovery.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care approaches.
  • Previous involvement in community outreach or interdisciplinary teamwork that includes collaboration with healthcare practitioners in various specialties.
