This position operates in a remote setting, giving you the opportunity to connect with clients in the comfort of your home while still upholding the highest standards of client care. Although remote, you will collaborate closely with a multifaceted team of professionals dedicated to fostering a supportive environment. You will have access to digital tools and telehealth platforms to conduct assessments, therapy sessions, and interdisciplinary team meetings, ensuring our clients receive comprehensive care and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with ethical standards and organizational policies, with a commitment to upholding confidentiality and promoting safe practices.
  • Monitor and document client progress, treatment adherence, and discharge planning, ensuring timely and comprehensive reporting of outcomes.
  • Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives, participating in agency committees aimed at enhancing service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve serving individuals and families from under-resourced backgrounds, showcasing a dedication to improving mental health access and fostering recovery among those facing socio-economic challenges. The diverse client demographics require a clinician who is culturally competent and able to adapt therapeutic modalities to meet varied client needs, including considerations for age-specific and developmental concerns.

Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia.
  • At least two years of post-master's clinical experience in a relevant mental health setting.
  • Demonstrable expertise in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and crisis intervention strategies specific to mental health.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective client interactions and documentation.
  • Strong organizational abilities, capable of managing a diverse caseload while adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
Preferred Experience
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desired to better serve our community.
  • Previous experience in outpatient settings, particularly in community mental health, is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of local community resources and an understanding of the barriers that underserved populations face will be beneficial.
