Job description

Overview

As a Facilities Plumber, you’ll be part of the behind-the-scenes team that keeps water flowing safely and reliably across a large, multi-acre campus that hosts year-round events and experiences. From maintaining clean water systems for public spaces to repairing fountains, storm drains, and restroom facilities, your work will directly support the smooth operations of the venue and the comfort of thousands of guests.

This is a hands-on, problem-solving role ideal for a skilled plumber who thrives on variety. You’ll handle plumbing systems across the entire property—potable water, wastewater, stormwater, and more—while also supporting cross-trade projects, seasonal events, and ongoing facility improvements. One day you might be repairing a water line in a high-traffic area, and the next installing new drainage to support a major upcoming event. Through all of your work, you’ll uphold our core values of Education, Serve, Care, Integrity, Fun, and Respect.

Pay & Benefits

  • Full-Time
  • $21.50 - 25.50/hr
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, Paid Leave, Personal Leave and Sick Leave

Shift & Schedule

  • Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday (schedule could be variable)
  • 8am - 4:30pm (with some variance)
  • Some after-hours and weekend work required for special events

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain facility-wide plumbing systems including potable water, wastewater, stormwater, and drainage.
  • Install new plumbing lines, fixtures, and systems for both existing facilities and new construction projects.
  • Repair and replace faucets, toilets, drinking fountains, misting systems, and other plumbing fixtures.
  • Expose and repair buried pipes as needed; perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plumbing diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Work safely with diverse pipe types, fittings, valves, and plumbing equipment (torches, augers, flush units, saws, etc.).
  • Maintain plumbing-related mechanical systems and specialized venue equipment.
  • Support special events and seasonal exhibits with setup, utilities, and breakdown.
  • Cross train and collaborate with other facilities staff across other maintenance trades, including HVAC, carpentry, electrical, life support and more
  • Complete daily reports on repairs, materials used, and project status.
  • Follow all safety codes, regulations, and standards (OSHA, EPA, ADA, USDA).
  • Exemplify our Core Values of Education, Serve, Care, Integrity, Fun, and Respect in all interactions with guests and fellow team members.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of plumbing or facility maintenance experience (commercial, construction, or industrial).
  • Technical/trade school degree or equivalent on-the-job training.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with plumbing systems.
  • Proficient with plumbing tools, fixtures, and equipment; able to read blueprints and routing diagrams.
  • Knowledge of water quality standards and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; flexible with changing priorities.
  • Physically able to lift 50–100 lbs and perform hands-on, outdoor work in all weather.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 10, AALSO Level 1, or AFO certification
