Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day production activities with a primary emphasis on Safety, Health, & Environmental compliance and production performance.
- Complete safety observations, recognize and address potential issues as they arise
- Manage all shipments of material by rail and truck
- Manage treated inventory on a First in, First Out (FIFO) basis.
- Maintain housekeeping for areas supervised.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; BS in Wood Science or Business preferred.
- 5 years of experience in lieu of a degree would be considered.
- Relevant industrial supervisory experience; management experience in the timber industry preferred.
- Safety, health and environmental awareness
- Strong organizational, teamwork and communications skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products
- Prior union experience is preferred
