Home Health Account Executive – Job Description
Position: Home Health Account Executive
Employment Type: Full-time
Location: North Fort Lauderdale/Lower Palm Beach County
Reports To: Sales/Marketing Manager or Supervisor
Job Overview
The Home Health Account Executive is responsible for driving measurable referral growth
by developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key referral sources such as
physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), discharge planners, case managers,
and community agencies. This role focuses on marketing and selling home health services
to individuals, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring alignment with agency goals
and patient needs
Key Responsibilities
• Territory Management: Own and expand assigned territory, developing and
implementing quarterly and annual growth plans to meet or exceed sales targets
• Relationship Building: Develop, maintain, and nurture relationships with
physicians, hospitals, SNFs, discharge planners, and community agencies through
effective sales calls, presentations, and follow-ups
• Market Development: Research and identify new referral sources; create and
execute targeted outreach strategies to increase service access and patient
referrals
• Customer Engagement: Meet with patients and families to discuss home care
services, address concerns, and manage expectations
• Internal Liaison: Serve as the agency’s liaison between referral partners and
internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and coordination
• Data & Documentation: Maintain customer and competitor profiles, log daily call
activity, and document follow-up plans
• Collaboration: Work with marketing, clinical, and intake teams to promote services
and ensure seamless patient onboarding
• Compliance & Knowledge: Stay current on home health regulations,
reimbursement processes, and documentation requirements
Required Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related
field
• Experience: 2–4 years of sales, marketing, or business development experience in
Home Health/Private Duty
• Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills; ability to
present services effectively to diverse audiences; proficiency with CRM or sales
tools.
• Knowledge: Understanding of home health services, reimbursement, and
regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
• Experience with home health marketing programs and referral strategies.
Compensation & Benefits (Typical)
• Base salary plus commission (e.g., $64K–$72K base + commission
