Job description

The Mitigation Lead position is a career in field services in the property damage restoration industry. position is primarily responsible for leading a crew of technicians who respond to emergency and property damaging situations. The Mitigation Leader has a drive to lead and is accountable for addressing the property and the customer with skill, knowledge, and professionalism. This position is the accountable job site. for preserving as much of the property as possible while working safely and efficiently.

1. This is a 24/7 Operation. Everyone is on call.
2. Mitigation claims are acknowledged and responded the same day.
3. Use PDO Quality Assurance for peer review and budget approval.
4. Every reconstruction assignment must begin within 10 days of approval.

Functions/Responsibilities
Work safely in residential and commercial properties that have been damaged by fire, water, storm, and/or mold.
Recruit and coach technicians both in the field and in the warehouse.
Survey damage within the property.
Evaluate and record damage to all items within the property
Manage cleaning process for both contents and structural damage
Demolition of structural damage to properties through the use of hand and power tools.
Clean up assigned job sites after demolition
Perform initial site visits
Conduct moisture inspections.
Set restoration equipment within guidelines.
Complete notes of assigned jobs in our primary operating system (RMS) Contact the customer of assigned jobs with ETA
Take photos of jobs assigned at start, completion, and throughout the process
Responsible for maintaining assigned vehicles and equipment.
Responsible for unloading and reloading assigned vehicles with equipment Keep equipment clean and organized in the shop
Responsible for unloading trash in assigned area
Responsible for recording your time and coding it to the job assigned
Pass IICRC certifications as IICRC classes are offered
Assist in the development of new hires through on the job training Hold our company's Vision, Values, Mission and 10 Serving Basics throughout job position All other duties as assigned

Computer skills
Ability to learn and operate our primary operating systems:
RMS, Xactimate, TSheets, Moisture Mapper, and additional systems as requested Ability to create documents and estimates
Ability to answer and communicate with customers over the phone and face to face
Ability to work independently
Ability to lead a team of Technicians
Ability to complete work on multiple jobs within the same time frame Ability to participate in an on call schedule
Ability to work within hazardous environments safely Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
Physical Requirement Must be able to stay in a stationary position up to 25% of the time within a vehicle. Constantly moves about job sites Constantly positions self to move about job sites; stairs, walkways, roofs, crawl spaces Occasionally ascends and descends a ladder to complete jobs. Must be able to observe and perceive information on a computer and documents Must be able to communicate and converse with customers over the phone and face to face Frequently will lift up to 60lbs Ability to safely operate a company vehicle
Work Environment The employee will be constantly working outdoors and be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee will occasionally be working indoors in the office. The employee will be exposed to air conditioning and heat. The employees will be exposed to normal noises throughout the office.
Travel This position will require up to 100% local travel to jobs sites (as needed).
