Position Summary

ITT is seeking a Field Service Manager for VIDAR, a breakthrough in industrial motors. VIDAR is a patented motor with embedded variable speed intelligence built for harsh industrial environments. For decades, variable speed drives have been bulky, expensive, and hard to install, which stalled adoption at just 15 percent of rotating equipment. VIDAR changes that. It installs as easily as replacing a motor, cuts total installed cost by up to 50 percent compared to a VFD, and opens a $6B market with no direct competitor targeting industrial environments. 

As the Field Service Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical installation and commissioning support to clients and service teams nationally, with regards to smart motor equipment and application support, which requires up to 75% of time travelling and completing onsite work.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide technical installation and commissioning support to clients and service teams nationally with regards to smart motor equipment and application support
  • Complete rotating equipment alignment to nominated tolerances using dial indicators or laser equipment
  • Train and mentor field service personnel smart motor installation practices
  • Provide on-site start up services and troubleshooting to customers within the United States and document all procedures and recommendations and provide reports
  • Demonstrate an ability to fault find and self-manage so as to avoid unnecessary breakage or lost time through incorrect installation techniques
  • Troubleshooting smart motor and associated equipment
  • Assist with assembly of smart motors and associated equipment including manufacturing and fabricating along with the repair of modifications associated with smart motor equipment
  • Offer support to field service and monitoring team
  • Organize personnel for smart motor installation and activation
  • Demonstrate understanding of motor KPV trends
  • Offer field service team support with site related fault finding
  • Follow written instructions and complete all nominated checkpoints before handover of paperwork
  • Provide timely advice to Operations Manager of field service tooling and consumables stock deficiencies to allow replacement
  • Maintain tools and equipment in operating condition and advise supervisor of deficiencies
  • Implement the set vision to the Filed Service department
  • Contribute to a positive safety culture throughout the business by alignment with safety processes, policies and legislation along with support for new initiatives
  • Follow and set a positive example for all ITT Code of Conduct rules and guidelines and ensure commitment to ITT's vision, mission and values and act in accordance with the Working with One Another program
  • Adhere to all company rules, processes, policies and requirements
Position Requirements
  • Associates degree in Electrical Engineering or higher desirable
  • Trade certificate in Electrical or electronics desirable
  • Restricted Electrical License desirable or 5 years experience
  • Advanced electrical trouble shooting capability
  • Be capable to read & interpret both schematics and Piping and Instrumentation diagrams
  • Be experienced with process & motor control methodologies
  • Minimum 5 years practical experience and knowledge with various motor types
  • Preventative Maintenance & Reliability experience desirable
  • People management experience strongly desirable
  • Strong English language skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Understand and implement quality principles
  • Engagement in modern safety principles
  • Professional appearance and approach

ITT offers a competitive salary and robust total rewards package, such as health insurance, 401(k), short and long-term disability, paid time off, growth and developmental opportunities, and other incentive compensation programs. Specific benefits are dependent upon whether or not the position is part of a collective-bargaining agreement. The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.Equal Pay Act Range$106,800 - $159,400 annually, plus incentive plan and benefits.Employment Type: OTHER
