Group Account Executive • Location: Garden City, NY • Work Week: 3 days in office and two days at home or 100% remote • Salary: $100-125,000

Our client, one of the most recognized and respected insurance brokerages on Long Island, seeks a talented benefit account executive to manage several complex self‑insured and fully insured clients. The role includes expert group benefits/health insurance knowledge, resolution skills, and a focus on client satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities
  • Manage, retain, and grow existing book of business through networking, referrals, and cross‑selling.
  • Establish, cultivate, and manage customer relations with client and prospective decision‑makers; also maintain professional relationships with carrier partners and internal resources.
  • Plan and direct renewal process for health and life coverages.
  • Recommend the most appropriate insurance solutions, alternative strategies, plan modeling and cost‑reduction opportunities.
  • Ensure renewal, sales, and insurance operations compliance requirements are documented into the agency management system.
  • Conduct strategic planning sessions with clients as defined in annual service goals and objectives.
  • Routinely educate clients on benefits legislation, regulatory requirements, compliance, and new product information.
  • Identify, develop, and oversee customer needs and service plans for each client to ensure exceptional customer service and client satisfaction.
  • Manage resolution of client issues as well as escalated employee enrollment and claims issues.
  • Prepare and execute stewardship reports and new business strategies, including proposals and presentations while ensuring agreement with customer requests/requirements.
  • Support sales team with new business strategies, prospect meetings and implementation of new clients.
  • Promote commitment to achieve or exceed internal and external performance standards and department/agency goals.
  • Support training initiatives for new service and sales teammates.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings.
  • Promote teamwork within department and profit center through support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude.
  • Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information and new product development.
