The business specializes in the design, manufacture, testing, and sale of solenoid valves, manifolds, liquid level switches, flow and pressure controls, and highly engineered customer‑specific solutions serving the Life Science and Fluid Control markets.

The GM does not own Engineering but plays a key role in setting direction, prioritization, and cross‑functional execution in partnership with engineering leadership.

Operations & Manufacturing Excellence

  • Lead all manufacturing, assembly, testing, logistics, and supply chain activities to achieve best‑in‑class safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity
  • Drive lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and capacity optimization to support growth and margin expansion
  • Ensure robust production planning, inventory management, and on‑time customer delivery
  • Champion operational discipline, standard work, and performance management through KPIs and visual management

Commercial & Customer Focus

  • Partner with Sales and Customer Service to deliver an exceptional customer experience across order fulfilment, responsiveness, and quality
  • Support profitable growth through new business introduction, customer‑specific solutions, and operational readiness

Leadership & Organization

  • Lead and develop the site leadership team across Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, HR, Finance, Sales, and Engineering interfaces
  • Build a high‑performance, accountable culture with clear goals, strong engagement, and visible leadership presence
  • Develop talent pipelines, succession plans, and capability building aligned with future site needs
  • Drive change leadership and organizational alignment as the business evolves
  • Partner with Product Design Engineering and R&D leaders to ensure manufacturability, cost discipline, and scalability
  • Support new product introduction and customer‑specific engineering projects through strong cross‑functional execution
  • Ensure smooth transition from development to production with minimal disruption to operations

Quality, Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Establish and sustain a strong safety culture with the objective of zero harm
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, customer, and corporate quality standards
  • Drive continuous improvement in product quality, process capability, and customer complaints reduction
  • Support IMI’s ESG, ethics, and compliance agenda at site level
Success Profile

Experience & Background

  • Proven senior leadership experience as a General Manager, Plant Manager, or Managing Director within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong track record of delivering operating profit through manufacturing excellence
