Embedded Systems Engineer | Delta Township, MI
Salary Range: $83,000 - $128,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Delta Township region seeking Embedded Systems Engineers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates-not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.
Key Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, and tests embedded systems for manufacturing equipment.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
- Implements and optimizes firmware for microcontrollers and other embedded processors.
- Troubleshoots and debugs hardware and software issues in production environments.
- Develops and maintains technical documentation for embedded systems.
- Participates in the entire product lifecycle, from concept to deployment and maintenance.
- Ensures compliance with industry standards and safety regulations for manufacturing systems.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in embedded software development for manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems, with experience in real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Strong understanding of microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM, PIC) and peripheral interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART).
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET).
- Demonstrated ability to debug and test embedded hardware and software in a production setting.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) beyond basic microcontroller OS.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus).
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues on physical production lines.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks for embedded systems.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for embedded devices in an industrial setting.
