Job description

The Regional Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations, maintenance, and strategic management of multiple facilities within an assigned geographic region. This role partners closely with local site leadership and corporate teams to support operational needs, optimize facility performance, and drive cost efficiency across the region. The position also leads the development and management of facility budgets and long-term plans aligned with company growth and future business needs.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage regional facility operations, including building maintenance, janitorial services, landscaping, and security.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for critical maintenance issues and emergencies within the assigned region.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs to ensure reliability of HVAC, lighting, equipment, and other building systems.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and audits to ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to corporate standards while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop and manage regional facilities budgets, including operating expenses, capital expenditures, and vendor contracts.
  • Prepare and maintain 5-year capital plans and forecasts.
  • Oversee capital projects from planning through completion, including budget review, vendor negotiations, contract approvals, and execution.
  • Manage regional real estate portfolio (owned and leased properties), including lease review and negotiations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure quality and cost-effective services.
  • Partner with regional leadership and department heads to support facility and workplace needs.
  • Communicate regularly with regional management to provide updates, share insights, and track progress against objectives.
  • Travel across regions to meet with team members, customers, and vendors; assess facilities; and lead or support projects.
  • Ensure proper workplace security measures, including oversight of access control systems and collaboration with security teams and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies as well as local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
  • Support regional field offices by aligning shared resources with corporate standards, including maintenance and building operations.
  • Demonstrate and uphold company values: integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment, and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Facilities Management or Project Management, including multi-site responsibility or related experience.
  • Proven experience managing budgets, contractors, and facility-related projects.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with employees, leadership, cross-functional teams, vendors, and external partners.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strong understanding of business objectives, with the ability to align facilities strategies and develop actionable plans to support organizational goals.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, execution, and follow-through.
  • Strong customer service mindset with solid interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record sufficient to meet company insurance requirements.
  • Advanced technology proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other systems relevant to facilities management within the oil and gas industry.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other technology platforms commonly used in facilities management.
  • Prior experience in the oil and gas industry preferred.
