Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to identify patients' trauma history and appropriate treatment techniques.
• Develop and carry out individualized treatment plans aiming at trauma recovery that is tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Utilize evidence-based intervention strategies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during therapy sessions.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to assist patients in processing trauma, enhancing coping strategies, and fostering resilience.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to patient care.
• Be prepared to provide crisis intervention and support throughout trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation adhering to all legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in regular case consultations, multidisciplinary team meetings, and continual professional development opportunities focused on trauma-informed care practices.
• Stay informed about the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to ensure our practice remains at the forefront of the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on individuals who have experienced trauma, including those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. By providing targeted, trauma-informed therapeutic services, you will play a vital role in helping these individuals reclaim their narratives and lead healthier lives.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Colorado.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, preferably focused on trauma-informed care.
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities, including experience with Trauma-Focused therapies.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, showcasing a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.
• Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations while focusing on patient care.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications to facilitate comprehensive documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
