Each volunteer shift can be no longer than 4 hours at a time. Each library branch has a limited number of volunteer opportunities available at any given time.

If the requested library branch does not need additional assistance at the time of application, the applicant's name will be added to a wait list. Any applicants to the Statesville branch are expected to help in any of the three main departments, as any requests for specific department volunteer assignments are currently unavailable. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Volunteer tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Assist library staff in daily tasks and projects.

Follow oral and written instructions. Communicate cooperatively with library staff. Shelf read and straighten.
