Overview:

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for managing the supply chain team and their key initiatives. The team will oversee plant level schedules and ensure their timely and effective execution. This team will control the modification and enhancement of these schedules due to changes in the business and customer needs while ensuring the plant is meeting key metrics, costs and strategic priorities. The position will work closely with all areas of the BU (Operations/ Supply Chain/ Technical/ Commercial Sales/ Finance/ Leadership) along with direct customer involvement to delivery results and satisfy the needs of our customers and the business.

Job Description:

  • Manage the execution and adherence of the supply plan; ensure any deviations from the supply plan are in alignment with business rules. Any issues are elevated for approval.
  • Manage and lead scheduler role and warehouse team,
  • Create detailed daily plant schedules
  • Measure key supply chain metrics (OTIF – Promise vs. Request, Inventory levels in units, schedule attainment, receipt accuracy, etc..), understand results and develop actions that drive results and lasting improvement.
  • Drive consistency and compliance with standard supply chain work processes (systemic and physical) throughout the BU Supply Chain.
  • Ensure master planning data for all facilities is accurate and maintained in a timely fashion; perform monthly/quarterly audits of the data for compliance.
  • Assist plant operations to ensure the accuracy of systemic inventory and integrity of transactions; perform daily/weekly audits of the data for compliance.
  • Work closely with the sales and operations planning, supply chain project management, commercial, and operations teams to develop creative solutions that drive value and results for the business.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills required. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization as well as the customer.
  • Previous change management and continuous improvement skills are required.
  • Must demonstrate strong working knowledge of planning and inventory processes and systems.
  • Candidate must be highly organized and extremely analytical.
  • Must demonstrate strong problem solving skills and ability to develop and implement creative solutions.
  • Adapt at multitasking several high profile projects while managing time and delivering tasks on time.
  • Must be detailed oriented and results driven; continuously focused on improvements.
  • Advanced computer skills required (IE: Microsoft Excel, Access, MS Query, VBA, SQL and etc.)
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to understand and analyze large sums of data and make quick specific assumptions and actions based on the results.

Education/Experience:

  • BS/BA Degree is required (Supply Chain/Operations or Business Management preferred).
  • Experienced in a Supply Chain related field required (Demand / Supply/ Inventory / Production Scheduling / Capacity Planning, Warehousing and/or Optimization).
  • Prior leadership experience desired.
  • Previous experience in SAP (PP, MM, APO, SNP, PPDS & WMS) or related ERP system is required.

The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
