We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Director to lead one of GNC's retail markets. This executive-level retail leader will be responsible for driving business performance, building high-performing teams, developing future leaders, and ensuring operational excellence across all stores within an assigned market.
The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of leading large, geographically dispersed retail organizations through multiple layers of leadership. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment, combines strategic thinking with strong operational execution, and has a passion for developing talent while delivering exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate will be based in Florida or the Atlanta, GA market.
What You'll Do: This is a Full-Time Salary Position
The Regional Director serves as the senior retail leader for an assigned market, overseeing all aspects of sales, operations, talent development, customer experience, merchandising execution, and profitability through a team of District Managers and Store Managers. This role translates corporate strategy into market-level execution while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and performance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of District Managers to drive sales performance, operational excellence, and customer experience across the market.
  • Create and execute market-level business strategies aligned with GNC's financial objectives, growth initiatives, and brand vision.
  • Maintain accountability for market sales, profitability, labor management, expense control, shrink performance, and inventory productivity.
  • Identify growth opportunities through analysis of business trends, customer insights, market conditions, and competitive activity.
  • Build and maintain a strong leadership pipeline through talent assessment, succession planning, recruiting, coaching, and performance management.
  • Drive a culture of accountability by establishing clear expectations, measuring results, and recognizing high performance. Partner with Merchandising, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to maximize market performance and support strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial reports to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and drive business decisions.
  • Ensure consistent execution of operational standards, visual merchandising programs, inventory processes, and customer experience expectations.
  • Conduct frequent store visits to evaluate performance, support leadership development, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Champion change management initiatives and lead successful implementation of new programs, processes, and business strategies.
  • Drive employee engagement and foster an inclusive, high-performing culture throughout the organization.
  • Serve as a key voice of the field by providing market feedback, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to senior leadership.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Environmental Factors & Working Schedule:
  • Remote-based position with significant travel throughout the assigned market and to corporate meetings, conferences, and special projects as needed (approximately75%).
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate standard office and mobile technology equipment.
  • Frequent use of computers, tablets, mobile devices, and virtual communication tools.
  • Ability to travel by automobile and air for extended periods as business needs require.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 10 pounds.
  • Work is performed in both retail store environments and remote office settings.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive multi-unit retail leadership experience.
  • 8+ years leading managers and large, geographically dispersed teams.
  • Demonstrated success driving revenue growth, profitability, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction across multiple locations.
  • Proven experience developing leaders, building talent pipelines, and creating high-performing teams.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labor expenses, sales forecasts, and profit-driving initiatives.
  • Ability to analyze complex business trends and leverage data to make strategic decisions.
  • Effective change management skills and experience leading organizational transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and reportingtools.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading retail operations across multiple districts, markets, or regions.
  • Experience within specialty retail, health and wellness, fitness, nutrition, or consumer products industries.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale business initiatives and market expansion efforts.
