The Role

At Wella, we want to be the best partner to salons and to our distributors. The Sr. Sales Manager, BSG Street-AMCO is responsible for leading, developing and recruiting a team of field Account Managers that supports, influences and develops a team of Distributor Sales Consultants (DSCs) and Store Manager & Associates affiliated with 53+ AMLP Franchise Owners as well as services professional beauty salons and schools throughout their assigned territories. The BSG Street Account Manager Team sells & supports the full professional salon brand portfolio to include Wella Professionals, Nioxin, Sebastian, Briogeo, OPI and GHD. The Sr. Sales Manager, BSG Street-AMCO, will foster a strong and influential relationship with the AMLP Management Team and Franchise Owners. The position requires a significant amount of customer interface, people leadership, territory and market analysis and regional travel.

This position is accountable to lead the team to increase market share by prospecting and gaining new salon and school doors through a network of AMCO Franchises that consist of a Distributor Salesforce & Professional Beauty Stores, as well as to deliver business targets within a defined budget with existing customers. The Sr. Sales Manager, BSG Street-AMCO will maximize the market’s education capacity through hardwiring with the education team to ensure customer strategies are developed and executed with excellence. The demonstration of strong situational management skills and company stewardship are required to develop a high performing organization that is productive and continuously growing their capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver KPIs: accountable to set and deliver monthly/quarterly/annual targets cascading from leadership to ensure the team meets/exceeds business and sales targets
  • Team Management: Identify the capability and motivation of your team members and tailor your management approach to create an action plan for each individual.
  • Coach team to develop sales mastery and implement protocol and standards.
  • Operate with excellence: Keep the team focused on priorities, track KPI’s, prioritize co-riding and completion of coaching sessions, lead area sales meetings, role-model by demonstrating.
  • Deliver results via HPO execution and building capabilities.
  • Strategic Industry Relationships: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders and industry decision makers (e.g. Key Salon Accounts, Guest Artists, Schools & Distributor & Franchise Personnel)
  • Responsible for personal participation/leadership in industry associations & events.
  • Represent Wella Company in professional industry forums in public, on-stage, and digitally through events, shows, programs, meetings, etc.
  • Data and Report Management: Development of the territory, team and customers require strength in data analytics by leveraging business reports and frontline digital tools that help identify trends, standards of excellence, forecasts, strategies, gaps and productivity action plans. In addition, customization of reports, presentations and proposals is integral to gaining alignment with both internal and external customers.
  • Accountable for the success of the region – even when not everything is under control; intensely driven & tenacious, determined to get over obstacles in the path of goals
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently with clear focus on deliverables

Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience in outside sales/distributor experience with 3-5 years of sales team management
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong leadership, thinking and problem solving, initiative and follow through
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills Digitally savvy
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently with clear focus on deliverables and KPIs- results oriented
  • Demonstrates advanced computer skills – Microsoft Office - PowerPoint, Excel, Word. PowerBI experience preferred.
  • Strong data management/analytics skills – Power BI experience is a plus
  • Up to 50-60% overnight travel in field that can include weekends
  • Able to travel via air for training and sales meetings at minimum 1-2 times per year
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Beauty Industry experience

We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, skills and in comparison, to internal incumbents currently in similar roles. Pay Range: $110,000-$130,000 salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
