Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
  • Serve as a core member of a digital product team, driving end-to-end design decisions and shaping product direction in close partnership with engineering and product
  • Use participatory design methods (e.g., paper prototyping, co-creation sessions, card sorting) to uncover vision, business models, assumptions, and implicit knowledge about user needs and behaviors
  • Translate abstract problems into structured solution roadmaps by asking thoughtful, probing questions
  • Capture insights from stakeholders and validate findings to ensure alignment and accuracy
  • Conduct user research to understand user needs, mental models, and workflows
  • Synthesize research findings and create clear visualizations that communicate key insights around user and customer behaviors
  • Develop annotated wireframes and prototypes that effectively communicate user experience and application behavior
  • Lead and influence cross-functional discussions on current UX initiatives and the broader design strategy
  • Build domain knowledge across industrial businesses, including products, processes, customers, and competitors
  • Drive effective documentation and communication of design solutions through wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user stories
  • Stay current on and lead exploration of emerging trends in design, technology, and industry practices

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in UX/design

  • Proven experience working in enterprise and complex environments

Technical Expertise
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Lean UX methodologies
  • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, OmniGraffle)
  • Ability to create concepts using sketching, brainstorming, and other generative techniques
  • Experience with interactive and time-based prototyping tools (e.g., Hype, Keynote)
  • Strong visual communication and storytelling skills

Business Acumen
  • Ability to connect industry trends to internal strategy and recommend actionable insights
  • Solid understanding of design thinking principles and their business value
  • Systems thinking mindset, with the ability to understand how components interact within larger organizational and technical systems

  • Effectively communicates UX concepts and rationale to cross-functional stakeholders
  • Demonstrates empathy and awareness of cultural and organizational dynamics

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). GE HealthCare offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
