The Senior Software Engineer for Conversational Search will develop high-quality, scalable conversational experiences, balancing infrastructure investments with business needs while leading significant projects and mentoring other engineers.
Responsibilities:
• You will develop responsive, resilient, scalable, and high-quality conversational experiences using React, Java, AWS, Sierra AI and various other tools/libraries.
• You will balance the trade-offs between complex infrastructure investments and quick, pragmatic solutions to meet specific business needs.
• You will collaborate with other engineering and product stakeholders to define, design, and lead the development of significant multi-person projects.
• You will mentor and guide other engineers, providing technical leadership and advocating for best practices.
• You will stay up to date with the rapidly evolving AI ecosystem and help evaluate new tools, models, and frameworks.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience, specifically in React and Java.
• Experience with modern frontend technologies (React, TypeScript).
• Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, handle ambiguity, and empathize with customers.
• You’re excited about LLMs, agent development, conversational UX, and emerging AI technologies.
• You love elegant interfaces that can tell stories and inspire trust.
• You are a teacher and a mentor: you have the leadership skills (and the patience) to improve the developers around you.
