Frederick Health Medical Group (FHMG), a highly respected 160+ provider, multi-specialty medical group, is seeking an endocrinologist to join its growing specialty care network within a well-established, physician-led health system. Frederick is a community of approximately 290,000 and is located less than 1-hour from both Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. About the Role
The General Pulmonologist will provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient pulmonary care, managing a broad spectrum of respiratory conditions while collaborating closely with primary care providers, hospitalists, specialists, and care teams throughout the health system.
This position offers the opportunity to join a collegial and growing pulmonary program with access to advanced diagnostic services, pulmonary function testing, imaging, and multidisciplinary support. Clinical Responsibilities
  • Develop efficient workflows and close relationships with referrals and community partners to continue to grow the Incidental Nodule and Lung Cancer Screening Programs
  • Proficient and Experienced in Robotic Bronchoscopy, Endobronchial Ultrasound and ultrasound-guided thoracentesis and chest tube placement
  • Interpret diagnostic testing, including laboratory studies, imaging, pulmonary function test
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of pulmonary disorders, including COPD, asthma, pleural effusions, sarcoid, lung nodules etc.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated patient care
  • Document high-quality, compliant clinical notes in the EMR and support clinic access, throughput, and patient experience
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve outcomes (e.g., lung cancer screening rates, timeliness to diagnosis and treatment)
  • Participate in practice call coverage and practice meetings as required

Required Qualifications
Education & Licensure
  • Board Certified or Board-Eligible in Pulmonary Medicine
  • Active Maryland physician medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • Current DEA license and Maryland Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) license
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or approved provider)
  • Unrestricted medical license with no history of suspension or revocation
  • Eligible for participation with all payers
