2 year old Assistant Childcare Teacher
We are seeking a vibrant 2 year old assistant teacher to educate, care for, and inspire the young minds at our preschool. Using a variety of teaching methods, including artistic expression, educational play, and storytelling, you will help assist children learn to identify shapes, colors, numbers, and letters while also assisting them with foundational life skills and preparing them for the next stage of formal education. To succeed as a 2 year old assistant teacher, you should possess the patience, compassion, and energy needed to effectively guide a diverse classroom of young children, each with unique needs, abilities, and emotions. The ideal candidate will also have strong administrative and organizational skills, enabling you to plan curricula and create progress reports for each child.
Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation and performance of curriculum within the preschool classroom at their facility to a TRS 4-star level;
Collaborate with the Program Director at their facility to deliver strong leadership and execution of site-level priorities and programmatic objectives;
Create a positive and inclusive classroom where everyone feels valued and respected.
Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues, and serve as a positive role model for staff.
Manage activities like lessons, play, breaks, and meals
Qualifications:
Child Development Associate degree or equivalent in education or a related field;
3+ years of experience as a 2 year old teacher or assistant teacher in an early childhood education;
3+ years total experience onsite in a Texas-licensed early education center;
Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum implementation, classroom preparation and management, and age-appropriate conscious discipline;
Demonstrated knowledge of accreditations, including Texas Rising Star and National Association for the Education of Young Children;
Demonstrated ability to execute classroom observations, assessments, development plans;
Strong leadership, mentorship, and partnership skills with other site level administration;
Ability to analyze and interpret student data to inform instructional decisions;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills; and
Must pass a background check and have a valid driver license.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
