Job description


The Customer Service Representative is responsible for performing a variety of clerical support duties, including answering the telephone and greeting visitors. He or she is responsible for reviewing and processing consumer and business customer's deposits made through remote channels utilizing the Fiserv Deposit Review system (SCO). The Customer Service Representative courteously and promptly answers customer questions and service requests or refers them to appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Accurate and attentive to detail
  • Able to get along well with coworkers
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as professional telephone etiquette
  • Well organized with good typing skills
  • Strong proofreading skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products and strong ability to use and navigate the Internet
  • Willing and able to assist coworkers with various tasks
Responsibilities
  • Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of processing customer's remote deposits processed through Mobile Deposit, ATMs, or Merchant Capture
  • Ensures all deposits processed through the Fiserv Deposit Review system are reviewed and processed according to bank policy and procedures
  • Answers questions and resolves problems quickly and effectively relating to Retail and Business Mobile Deposit and ATM Deposit for customers
  • Informs management, customers, and/or branch personnel of any issues or problems promptly
  • Assumes responsibility for the effective coordination and performance of the SCO program
  • Assists branch personnel with branch capture item processing issues, add new employees to the SCO program, and password resets for SCO
  • Assists merchant capture clients with item processing issues
  • Provides assistance for the accurate and efficient performance of accounting and financial services and related clerical functions as needed
  • Answers telephone and professionally responds to telephone and email questions. Ensures email communications are accurate, thorough, and free from errors as needed
  • Receives and screens visitors and telephone calls and either notifies staff members or records and relays messages. Conducts visitors to proper offices and announces them as necessary
  • Provides assistance to Processing Center and Debit Card Personnel as needed
  • Supports Processing Center and Debit Card departments as needed
  • Assumes responsibility for maintaining effective communication and business relations with customers
  • Responds to or refers questions or problems promptly and courteously
  • Gathers information required and keeps customers appropriately informed.
  • Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems or concerns
  • Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned
  • Maintains the professional reputation of D.L. Evans Bank
  • Promotes D.L. Evans Bank at all times
  • Serves as a representative of D.L. Evans Bank and participates in community activities
  • Seeks opportunities to refer products and services for increased business to the bank
  • Keeps work area clean, secure, and well-maintained
  • Completes special projects as assigned
  • Attends meetings as required.
