Job description

Job Description

Are you a professional driver ready to take your career to the next level? Join our elite fleet as a CDL-A Driver Mentor and help train the next generation of drivers while drastically increasing your weekly income.

As a Mentor, your earning capacity skyrockets because you are paid for every single mile the truck moves—regardless of whether you or your student are behind the wheel. If you live within 90 miles of Tampa, have a passion for leading others, and meet our safety standards, we want you on our team.

The Earning Advantage (Paid on ALL Miles):
  • Base Mileage Pay: Generous 0.55 to 0.65 CPM base rate.
  • Training Multiplier: +$0.10 CPM extra on all miles while a student is onboard.
  • Productivity Boost: +$0.04 CPM productivity bonus.
  • Uncapped Mileage: You get paid for all truck miles, not just your own. Once your student completes their daily driving, you can run the rest of the 14-hour clock to stack massive miles.
Additional Mentor Bonuses & Longevity Pay:
  • $500 Milestone Bonus: Paid after your student completes 10,000 safe miles.
  • $300 Milestone Bonus: Paid after your student completes 20,000 safe miles.
  • Elite Mentor Status: After training just 6 students, you earn an extra $0.01 CPM for every mile your students drive during their first full solo year with the company.
  • Perks: Priority dispatch, highly consistent loads, and an organized online training checklist to keep your mentoring structured.
Schedule & Home Time Structure:
  • Typical OTR Mentor Run: 11 days total on the road, followed by 2 full days at home.
  • Training Routine: Day 1 is observation. Days 2–11 require the student to drive at least 5 hours per day.
  • Flexible Pacing: We highly recommend taking a week to run solo between students to rest and recharge at your own pace.
Paid Mentor Preparation & Training:

Before you take your first student, we set you up for absolute success with a paid preparation course:

  • Location: Arkansas
  • Schedule: Monday – Thursday (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) with lunch provided.
  • Accommodations: Free stay at the Holiday Inn Springdale, including a free hot breakfast.
  • Training Pay: $850 paid upon successful completion of the course.
  • Onboarding Bonuses: Get $250 for your first student pickup, plus an additional $250 for your first student dispatch.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) with a clean driving record.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
  • Location: Must live within 90 miles of Tampa.
  • Availability: Able and willing to travel and work Over-the-Road (OTR).
  • Attitude: A professional demeanor and a genuine desire to coach and lead incoming drivers safely.
