First Financial Bank has an immediate opening for an SBA Loan Assistant Support Specialistat the Corporate Office located in El Dorado, Arkansas.
The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the PSD Managing Director, PSD Loan Officers, and PSD Loan Assistants and to perform the daily duties as assigned below.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPLEXITY: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, loan officers, and customers. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, and volume.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in the servicing of PSD and Retail SBA loans including, but not limited to, insurance inquiries, exception tracking and clearing, manage ticklers, UCC continuations, customer inquiries regarding payments and bank statements, and other post-closing customer inquiries. Work with customer data using computer software to troubleshoot issues and assist customers with questions. Prepare and collect loan files for audits. Work with SBA Loan Assistants as needed to prepare for loan closings, funding, and disbursements. Send documents and packages via FedEx/UPS/USPS and check incoming mail each day. Manage reports as assigned including, but not limited to, reconciliation reports and SBA reports. Work with FFB loan specialists, loan assistants and loan officers with questions and troubleshooting. Handle written and oral correspondence with customers. Answer telephone and written inquiries concerning SBA loans and related information. Cross train as back up in other areas of the department. Assist the PSD Managing Director as needed. Assist with other special projects for management. All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Position requires individual who has excellent customer communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills. Also requires an individual who has excellent organization skills, who pays close attention to detail, can work well under pressure, and think strategically. Must be self-motivated and able to work well with others. Requires strong computer background in MS Excel and Word.
