Description
First Financial Bank has an immediate opening for a Teller at the Harrisburg Branch located in Wynne, Arkansas.
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide a variety of customer savings, checking, and loan payment transactions, as well as customer services such as sales of money orders and cashier's checks. This individual is responsible for cross-selling the bank's products and services and ensuring the bank's policies, procedures, and all compliance regulations are being followed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school or GED required. One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of one year customer service experience and cash handling experience.
COMPLEXITY: Work that is moderately difficult and involved, requiring adaptation and interpretation of established practices and procedures to cover problems and situations to which their application is not clearly defined.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for comprehensive, prompt and efficient customer transactions. Receives checks and cash for deposit to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement, and enters deposits into computer records. Issues money orders, cashier's checks, etc. Balances cash drawer at the end of the shift, compares total amounts to computer balance sheet, and reports any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary. Ensures the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc. Cashes checks from a variety of accounts upon proper verifications and getting approval when over teller limit. Cross-sells bank products and services. Receives mortgage, consumer loan and other payments, ensures the payments are processed correctly and enters validated payments. Reports malfunctions of teller terminals and other equipment used at the teller stations to supervisor. At some locations, may assist with balancing and maintaining the ATM. Processes night drop deposits and record proper information on bank forms. Other duties as assigned by management.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must possess strongattention to detail andproblem-solving skills. Must have strong verbal and interpersonal relationship skills. Must have excellent organization skills and be able to multi-task. Must be able to work under strict time deadlines. Must be able to work flexible schedule when required to ensure adequate teller coverage for the branch during hours of operation.
