Job description

Franklin International, a leading manufacturer of adhesives, coatings, and sealants is currently seeking a Marketing Specialist. This position is a full-time hybrid position that will require occasional travel. It is responsible for leading and providing support for marketing initiatives within the Construction Products Division, specifically providing product marketing support for the Titebond brand, both domestically and internationally. These initiatives include, but are not limited to: tradeshow management, updating product packaging, assisting with product development initiatives, market research and data collection, e-commerce support, merchandising development, marketing material and content creation, and lead generation and CRM support. This role is a full-time hybrid position that will require occasional travel.

Fundamental Job Tasks

Supports overall product line initiatives by managing various projects as designated by the product marketing managers. Projects include market research, field trials and data collection, data analysis, competitive analysis, merchandising development, packaging updates and creation of marketing materials Serves as a liaison between sales/marketing, graphic designers, lab personnel and all functional support groups. Builds trust and facilitates collaboration between internal personnel by understanding the needs and concerns of key departments as they interact with the marketing team. Provides clear written and verbal communication to ensure project success. Works with external vendors as needed to accomplish tasks.

Manages and facilitates all Titebond tradeshow activities and initiatives through detailed planning and execution. Primary contact with all external tradeshow organizations and Titebond’s outside tradeshow vendor. Manages the purchase of booth space, facilitates logistics and ensures a smooth and successful event. Coordinates graphics, new booth layouts and all related support needs. Attends shows, as needed.

Supports Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and lead generation through lead upload and contact management. Supports the Construction Marketing Department’s goals in gathering leads, opportunities and other contact information to upload into the CRM and pass to the sales team. Analyzes data from the CRM to determine ROI from tradeshows and other lead sources.

Manages various marketing programs including the Titebond marketing materials online store and contractor loyalty program. Serves as the primary contact for the internal and external sales teams regarding these programs.

Ensures a consistent brand and corporate image by developing well-crafted written, verbal and visual communications. Works directly with Marketing Communications Department staff to develop marketing materials and other marketing collateral. Works closely with the sales team to support their field needs.

Knowledge and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or business. 2-4 years of applicable experience in a marketing-related field. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good computer, project management and organizational skills.

The ideal candidate must be a critical thinker with the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrates strong attention to detail and possesses creative problem-solving skills. Excellent team player with a collaborative mindset. Is energetic, quick to understand tasks at hand and possesses excellent communication skills. Strong sense of self-motivation and an ability to adapt to the job at hand. Has a broad understanding of marketing strategy and tactics and can apply them to develop creative solutions.
