Job Summary:
The Senior Information Technology (IT) Consultant - Delivery Manager is responsible for managing and delivering complex IT projects in alignment with client objectives and contractual agreements. This role involves leading medium-to-large-scale projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope, schedule, and budget, while maintaining high client satisfaction. The consultant will provide strategic oversight, guide technical teams, and ensure project outcomes meet defined business goals and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage multiple IT projects or major phases of large, complex engagements from initiation through completion.
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders and clients.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations; monitor progress and performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the client and internal teams to ensure clear communication and alignment of expectations.
  • Oversee requirements gathering, analysis, and solution design to address client needs and business challenges.
  • Conduct fact-finding, data analysis, and develop hypotheses and recommendations to support strategic decisions.
  • Review and validate technical deliverables to ensure quality and compliance with contractual obligations and industry best practices.
  • Manage risk identification, mitigation, and issue resolution processes to maintain project stability.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports, presentations, and documentation to stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Mentor and guide junior consultants and technical staff to promote professional growth and delivery excellence.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT consulting, project management, or technical delivery leadership.
  • Proven experience managing medium-to-large-scale IT projects, preferably within government or enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of systems development life cycle (SDLC), Agile, and/or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Desired Skills:
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with cloud transformation, enterprise modernization, or digital initiatives.
