Work Setting: Retail Pharmacy / Vaccination Clinic (Onsite)
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a retail vaccination team providing immunization services in a patient-focused healthcare setting. The RN will administer a variety of vaccines, educate patients, and ensure safe, high-quality clinical care while maintaining compliance with established healthcare standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for nurses who enjoy community healthcare, preventive medicine, and patient education.
- Administer immunizations including Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, and other CDC-recommended vaccines.
- Assess patients prior to vaccination and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients regarding vaccines, potential side effects, and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of vaccinations and patient records.
- Follow infection prevention and safety protocols; PPE will be provided.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Deliver exceptional patient care with professionalism, empathy, and compassion.
- Adapt to changing workflows and patient volumes in a fast-paced retail healthcare environment.
- Support a positive team environment while maintaining compliance with company policies and clinical standards.
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including immunization administration.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a patient-facing environment.
- High School Diploma or GED (verification required).
- Must not be listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
- Previous CVS/Aetna experience is not required.
- Previous experience in retail health, public health, occupational health, or vaccination clinics.
- Experience administering high-volume immunization programs.
- Strong patient education and customer service skills.
