Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an OB Hospitalist Physician, you will join a thriving multi-specialty group in the Folsom, CA area. You will play a critical role in providing exceptional obstetric care within a dynamic hospital setting in the Sacramento region. This opportunity emphasizes a strong commitment to patient safety and quality outcomes, allowing you to leverage your expertise in a supportive environment focused on work-life balance. Your contributions will directly enhance our ability to deliver comprehensive, compassionate, and timely care to our patient population.

In this role you will cover the OB emergency department, covering patients in labor & delivery, providing emergency gynecological consults, and be available for surgical assist needs ensuring seamless medical support for critical procedures. This role involves active participation in a growing hospitalist program, collaborating with a large network of specialists to ensure continuous, high-quality patient care. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for more work-life balance!

Opportunity Highlights:

  • Full time and part time positions available.

  • Incoming physicians would be based out of Mercy Hospital of Folsom

  • Hospital does approximately 600-700 births/year

  • Join a growing program which will consist of 3 dedicated Ob Hospitalists and support from a large pool of clinic based doctors in the program

  • 24 hour back-up Ob on-call.

  • Full time would be twelve 12 hour shifts/month and shifts can be done as 24 hour shifts.

  • Additional compensation provided for holidays and doing additional shifts.

  • Level I nursery with support from the Level lll NICU at Mercy San Juan Medical Center

  • Generous compensation and benefits

  • Sign on bonus and moving bonus available for full time applicants

  • Employer provided tail insurance.

  • Active board certification required.

To be successful in this role, you will be a Board Certified OB/GYN with a strong clinical background and a passion for inpatient obstetric care. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating exceptional decision-making skills and the ability to effectively manage diverse medical situations. Your commitment to teamwork, excellent communication skills, and dedication to providing top-tier patient care will be paramount, complementing our mission to serve the healthcare needs of our community in Folsom area.

We are offering the following incentives to eligible new hires:

  • Shareholder track, competitive compensation with bonus potential, desirable benefits

  • Option for additional income with hospitalist and back-up shifts at regional hospitals

  • Compensation Range: $330,000 - $339,000 /year with opportunities for additional call pay

Job Requirements

Required:

  • MD or DO degree

  • Board-Certified in OB/Gyn (ABMS or AOA)

  • Active or eligible license in the state of California

  • DEA certification

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
