Job description

Our client, a leader in advanced engineering solutions, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their innovative team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be integral to the Engineering Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, collaboration, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Broomfield, Colorado

Pay Range:

What's the Job?

  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies from concept through production release, including prototype and production hardware.
  • Create and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using industrystandard CAD tools, applying GD&T and best drafting practices.
  • Release and manage product data, drawings, and change orders in the PLM system in accordance with configuration management processes.
  • Perform basic to intermediate mechanical analyses (e.g., structural, thermal, tolerance, and trade studies) to support design decisions.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, reliable, and scalable.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Minimum 4+ years of mechanical design experience, including CAD based modeling, electro-mechanical design and packaging, and stress and thermal analysis
  • Working knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical assemblies
  • Familiarity with GD&T and engineering documentation standards
  • Ability to work effectively in crossfunctional, fastpaced development environments
