- The Industrial Engineer I will support manufacturing operations through process analysis, workstation optimization, inventory evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- This role will work closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and support manufacturing excellence using industrial engineering principles and analytical methods.
Requirement/Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, STEM, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant industrial engineering or manufacturing experience.
- Strong CAD review and engineering drawing interpretation skills.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
- Experience analyzing inventory, operational processes, and manufacturing workflows.
- Understanding of manufacturing process optimization, workstation design, and line balancing concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams.
Experience:
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience reviewing CAD models and engineering concepts.
- Experience auditing inventory and identifying operational discrepancies.
- Experience working on process improvement or small operational projects.
- Experience using manufacturing analysis and process optimization methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of standard work methods for new and existing production lines.
- Support the design of safe and efficient manufacturing workstations using ergonomic and plant layout principles.
- Conduct cost analysis for make-versus-buy decisions related to components and sub-assemblies.
- Review part numbers and conduct operational and inventory analysis.
- Manage small projects focused on resolving process and inventory discrepancies.
- Perform inventory audits and analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate with vendors to support manufacturing accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Review CAD models and engineering concepts to support manufacturing process evaluations.
- Support line balancing, process layout optimization, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Assist with manufacturing simulations, workflow analysis, and process documentation.
- Apply industrial engineering techniques to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality.
- Promote workplace safety, ergonomic compliance, and continuous process improvement.
Should Have:
- Knowledge of ergonomic standards and workstation design principles.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with manufacturing simulations and process modeling tools.
