Interventional Pain Management Opportunity Near Birmingham, AL

An established, multi-site pain management practice located just east of the Birmingham metro area is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Pain Medicine physician. Designed around high-efficiency interventional care, this position offers a fully operational procedure suite, strong APP support, and a procedure-heavy schedule with complete freedom from call.


Practice Overview


  • You'll join an established, multi-site pain practice with primary needs (east of Birmingham)
  • Robust APP infrastructure at each site to support follow-ups and clinic flow; dedicated clinical staff help handle required physician scripting
  • This practice features a fully operational 1-room procedure suite; and the second location is positioned for a new procedure suite build-out once a dedicated physician is secured
  • Procedures emphasize in-office interventions (RFA, stim trials, kyphoplasty) with select implants/PNS/MILD/Intracept/SIJ performed at local facilities as needed

Schedule


  • Monday-Friday schedule with a target mix of 3 procedure days and 2 clinic days (option to scale toward 4 procedure days based on comfort and support)
  • Clinic volume typically 22-25 patients/day (new + established)
  • Procedure volume commonly 28-32 cases per procedure day in the 1-room suite, with physicians maintaining pace without routinely working late
  • No Call

Compensation & Benefits


  • Base salary starting at 350,000 with flexibility
  • Production incentive
  • Time off and CME: 4 weeks PTO plus 8-9 paid holidays; 2,500 annual CME allowance
  • Benefits include malpractice coverage (tail negotiable), 401(k) with up to 4% match, medical/dental/vision, plus negotiable sign-on and relocation

Candidate Requirements


  • MD/DO with Board Certified or Board Eligible status in Pain Medicine
  • Open to 2026 and 2027 fellowship graduates
  • Comfort with high-volume interventional workflow and bread-and-butter procedures; interest in expanding procedural offerings welcomed
  • No visa sponsorship
