Job description

A #remote contractor-position for an IT Release Manager is open at CSAA Insurance Group!ย

Duties & Responsibilities

Release Planning & Coordination

  • Own and manage the integrated release calendar across Guidewire and connected platforms
  • Coordinate release activities across development, QA, UAT, performance testing, and production deployment
  • Drive release readiness reviews, go/no-go checkpoints, and deployment governance
  • Manage release scope, dependencies, sequencing, and deployment timelines
  • Coordinate cross-team implementation activities across multiple workstreams and vendors

Environment & Deployment Governance

  • Partner with Platform/DevOps teams to ensure environment readiness and deployment stability
  • Coordinate code promotions across Dev, SIT, UAT, PERF, and Production environments
  • Validate deployment plans, rollback strategies, and contingency procedures
  • Ensure alignment between release schedules, infrastructure readiness, and testing cycles

Risk & Dependency Management

  • Identify release risks, blockers, and cross-platform dependencies early
  • Drive mitigation planning and escalation management
  • Coordinate issue resolution across Engineering, QA, Platform, and vendor teams
  • Ensure production support readiness and operational transition planning

Quality & Testing Alignment

  • Partner with QA leadership to ensure alignment across SIT, UAT, regression, and performance testing activities
  • Ensure release criteria and quality gates are met prior to deployment
  • Coordinate validation activities across Guidewire Core, Digital, Integrations, Earnix, and Data/Reporting workstreams

Communication & Reporting

  • Provide executive-level release status reporting and dashboards
  • Facilitate release governance meetings and stakeholder communications
  • Maintain visibility into release health, risks, deployment status, and defect trends
  • Drive post-release reviews and continuous improvement activities
