Job description

Description

About CRI:

CRI is a contract office furniture consultant based in San Francisco. Representing MillerKnoll and many more trusted brands, we partner with some of the most innovative companies in the world to create thriving workplaces for engaged and empowered people.

Your Role:

The Studio Resource Specialist plays a key role in supporting the Creative Services Team by managing resources, coordinating workflows, and ensuring seamless execution of creative projects. This role requires a highly organized individual with a keen eye for detail, the ability to multitask, and an understanding of contract furniture. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and collaborates effectively with both internal and external stakeholders as well as external vendors.

CRI is in San Francisco.  This position is hybrid, but there would be an expectation to be in San Francisco a minimum of 3 days a week to be successful in this role.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and optimize the organization of digital and physical design assets, material samples, and brand materials, ensuring seamless access for the team.
  • Manage and maintain the material library and vendor database to support design and project needs.
  • Partner with Team Leads and the VP of Creative Services to centralize and streamline product and project documentation, tools, and reference materials for quick, efficient access.
  • Collaborate strategically with project and bid teams to develop value-engineered solutions and compelling pricing/visual packages.
  • Support visual storytelling by assisting with photoshoots, showroom displays, and marketing events that bring our brand to life.
  • Research industry trends, materials, and competitive positioning to keep our team ahead of the curve.
  • Facilitate impactful presentations, training sessions, and design reviews to enhance internal and external collaboration.
  • Coordinate vendor presentations to align with company goals and keep our teams informed on the latest industry innovations.
  • Provide hands-on support for client presentations in our San Leandro and San Francisco hubs to deliver a seamless experience.
  • Tackle special projects as needed to drive operational excellence and team success.

Requirements

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in design resource management, project coordination, or studio support-preferably in the contract furniture, interior design, or architecture industry.
  • Experience managing material libraries, vendor databases, or design assets in a fast-paced, creative environment.
  • Exposure to bidding, pricing, or value engineering (VE) solutions in the furniture or design industry is a plus.
  • Experience supporting photoshoots, showroom displays, or marketing events is a bonus.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Exceptional organization & attention to detail-you ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Strong multitasking abilities-you can juggle multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders with ease.
  • Proficiency in design tools & software-familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit is a plus.
  • Data management skills-experience with database software, CRM, or project tracking tools.
  • Excellent communication & collaboration-ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams, external vendors, and clients.
  • Research-driven mindset-staying informed on industry trends, materials, and design innovations.
  • Problem-solving & adaptability-able to anticipate challenges and proactively find solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Interior Design, Architecture, Studio Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of contract furniture, commercial interiors, or design specifications is highly preferred.
  • Ability to lift and transport materials, samples, and showroom elements as needed.

CRI Values:

  • Be a Good Human - Be kind, be respectful, be positive, have fun. We work hard, play hard and do the right thing.
  • Be the Best Teammate - Roll up your sleeves, share wins and losses, approach creative problem solving collaboratively, be a no-ego doer. Together we are a force to be reckoned with.
  • Be Inquisitive - Be engaged, find the why, value learning. Each day is a new opportunity to be better and put into practice the learnings from the day before.
  • Be a Design Thinker - Have empathy, question, ideate and solve. We encourage design thinking in all facets of our business.
  • Lead by Example - Go above and beyond, show initiative, be proud. Expect the best of yourself and each other every day.
  • Be Yourself - Live our values with your personality. We want you to be you!
