Overview
The Vice President of Operations provides overall leadership, guidance and direction on operational decisions for a region, brand or assigned portfolio of properties in the organization, builds winning teams, and empowers service oriented, high performing teams with the tools to enable their individual world class brands to come to life for guests.
This role is a proven leader, as well as a creative thinker who has a proven track record of customized successful solutions for property performance. Success is defined through high performance; the commitments we make to owners and each other; cultural stewardship, leadership through trust; the successful implementation of a vision and strategy, and the ability to effectively solve problems.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities - key responsibilities for the position include though are not limited to the following:
  • Lead the General Managers and respective property executive teams in driving performance, guest satisfaction, and team member satisfaction.
  • Partner with property teams to analyze performance metrics, financials and properties to assess needs and strategies to achieve success.
  • Create meaningful relationships with Owners and their representatives through excellent and active communications.
  • Take a leadership role in meetings and be capable in presenting information to owners, audiences, and internal teams.
  • Develop and implement recommended operational best practices, policies, programs and creative ideas for driving performance.
  • Build winning teams by helping to develop talent within and attract new talent to continue to build our company.
  • Assist properties with budget planning and achievement, by helping property leaders find value-add ways to run their business.
  • Leverage business acumen and relationship skills into growing the company through new opportunities for CoralTree Hospitality.
  • Understand the business and property comp sets to drive performance. Leverage use of data and analytics as tools to understand and evaluate business and performance.
  • Provide support in Openings and Transitions through coordination of all pre-opening operation activities to include but not limited to all pre-opening check lists: General Manager's, Finance, Sales, Marketing and Distribution, IT, Restaurant, Bars, Nightlife & Events, People Services and Engineering.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years in Hotel and/or Resort Management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Strong project management skills; strong problem-solving skills and analytical/critical thinking
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
  • Ability to travel as necessary.
