Job description

CTG is seeking to fill a SAP Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR) Functional Consultant position for our client.

Location: Hamden, CT
Duration: 8 months

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of SAP Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR) within SAP S/4HANA.
  • Configure SAP RAR (FI-RA) to support ASC 606 and IFRS 15 revenue recognition requirements.
  • Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to gather requirements and design scalable revenue accounting solutions.
  • Support Aerospace & Defense (A&D) revenue accounting processes, including long-term contracts, fixed-price and cost-plus programs, percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting, and government contracting requirements.
  • Integrate SAP RAR with FI, CO, SD, PS, and related SAP modules.
  • Prepare functional specifications, support testing activities, and assist with deployment and production support.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards and business requirements.
Required Skills:
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR/FI-RA).
  • Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting (FI).
  • Expertise in ASC 606 and IFRS 15 revenue recognition.
  • Experience within the Aerospace & Defense industry.
  • Knowledge of long-term contract accounting, cost-plus and fixed-price contracts, POC accounting, and FAR/DFARS regulations.
  • Experience configuring SAP RAR and integrating with SAP FI, CO, SD, and PS.
  • Strong business process analysis, solution design, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Required Experience:
  • 7+ years of SAP Functional Consulting experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on SAP Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR) implementation experience.
  • Proven success delivering SAP S/4HANA Financials projects from requirements through production support.
  • Experience supporting enterprise revenue recognition and financial transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working directly with finance organizations and cross-functional project teams.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting and/or SAP Revenue Accounting & Reporting certifications are preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $80.00 to $85.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
