Job description

HVAC Technician
Department: Ball Park Operations
Location: Great American Ball Park, Cincinnati, OH
Reports To: Director of Maintenance
FLSA Status: Hourly Non-exempt
Job Summary
The HVAC Technician is to assist in the daily operations of the HVAC System, and well as maintenance of the dry and wet fire system.
This position must work extended hours that includes nights, weekends, and holidays during the baseball season. They are also on call for emergency situations that arise.
Minimum Requirements
Education: High School Diploma, Completion of HVAC Program through an accredited school
Experience: Two to three years in boiler, chiller, and commercial air conditioning equipment, CFC Universal required
Skills: Basic knowledge of controls
Preferred (Desired) Qualifications
Education: Ohio HVAC License
Experience: Five to eight years of experience in boiler, chiller, and commercial air conditioning equipment required; CFC universal required; familiarity of controls required. OSHA 10-hour Training or ability to go through training
Skills: Computer literate with Microsoft products and Trane Ensemble Self Starter with ability to multi-task
Primary Job Duties amp; Responsibilities
Duty | % of Time
Operate low-pressure boilers, chillers, and other associated HVAC Equipment and Controls: 25%
Perform daily rounds on equipment and record data: 25%
Perform Preventative Maintenance on all HVAC related equipment, plus dry and wet fire system, and record PM on CMMS system: 25%
Possess knowledge and utilize the Building Automated Controls (Trane Ensemble): 10%
Perform other general maintenance duties as assigned: 10%
Respond to off-hour emergency calls: 5%
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Director of Maintenance
Physical Requirements
Please describe both essential physical demands and working conditions:
- Ability to sit/stand for extended periods
- Lift up to 75lbs occasionally
- Work is performed primarily in outdoor settings.
- Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry 50lbs. on a regular basis.
- Use of standard office equipment (Microsoft Office)
- The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration; The noise level in the work environment can be quiet to loud.
- Must have a willingness to work long hours and a variable schedule including weekends and holidays especially during the baseball season.
