Systems Administrator Expert
As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a AND an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance.
The System Administrator - Expert provides critical support in designing, troubleshooting, and implementing secure systems and infrastructure. This role focuses on developing systems and ensuring systems comply with security requirements.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Systems Administrator Expert: $170,000.00 - $210,000.00
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Systems Administrator Expert Responsibilities Include:
  • Ability to troubleshoot cloud (AWS) implementation issues.
  • Solve software (Linux) issues and software development.
  • Proven success working as a DEVOPs systems engineer and technical admin.
  • Agile Methodology and continuous improvement mindset
  • GitHub experience and other source control systems
  • Strict adherence to security standards and organizational requirements
  • Willingness to mentor and train other engineers as well as seek to continually improve processes.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Systems Administrator Expert Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 11 years of experience in system engineering or related IT security roles.
  • Hands-on experience working within AWS/Azure/cloud environments
  • Hands-on experience developing with Python, Ansible, Opentext NNMi, Cisco NSO
  • Strong DevOps focus and experience building and deploying infrastructure with cloud
  • Deployment technologies like Ansible, Chet, Puppet, etc.
  • Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
  • Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
