Position Overview

Join the Center For Discovery, Ltd as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in our remote outpatient setting, where you will play an essential role in providing therapy services to individuals, couples, and families in Pomona, California. Work Environment

This role is set in a remote outpatient office, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a collaborative team atmosphere. You will connect with colleagues and clients using advanced communication platforms and digital tools that foster effective teamwork and client engagement. Our hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a structured yet dynamic work schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitating therapy sessions to address emotional and behavioral health issues, using a variety of therapeutic techniques.
  • Conducting thorough client evaluations and crafting individualized treatment plans tailored to meet each client's unique situation.
  • Implementing evidence-based interventions to guide clients through life’s challenges, distress, and personal growth.
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of each client’s progress, session notes, and treatment goals.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to share insights, enhance treatment approaches, and optimize client outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals and families facing various mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions. Our holistic approach prioritizes understanding and working through the psychological, emotional, and social factors influencing each client’s well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field.
  • A valid Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license issued by the state of California.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with a variety of clients, showcasing compassion, empathy, and understanding.
  • Effective communication and diagnostic capabilities, essential for establishing trust and rapport with clients.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting.
  • A background in employing evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Experience collaborating in a telehealth or remote therapy context is highly desirable.
