Customer Relations Representative

Customer Relations Representative Overview:

Establish and develop relationships with new and current consumer and business customers in support of First Western Bank & Trust's sales and service objectives while adhering to the bank's culture of customer service excellence.

  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers in person or on the phone in a timely, courteous, and professional manner
  • Properly identify each customer in accordance with bank policy and uphold confidentiality of customer and proprietary information
  • Establish solid relationships with new and current consumer and business customers through identifying needs, providing the best bank products and services for customer's financial needs, and using cross-sell and referral opportunities
  • Open and manage consumer accounts including Individual Retirement Accounts; Health Savings Accounts; checking, savings, money market, certificates of deposit, and safe deposit accounts
  • Open and manage business accounts including checking, savings, money market, certificates of deposit, and safe deposit accounts
  • Assist customers with account maintenance; includes name changes, address changes, deposit product changes, and CD renewals, and signer changes for business accounts
  • Assist customers with debit card maintenance; includes create instant issue cards as needed, create disputes for erroneous transactions, apply limit changes, research transaction issues.
  • Assist customer with credit card maintenance; includes card issuance as needed, create disputes for erroneous transactions, research transaction issues, answer general questions, apply payments received

Customer Relations Representative Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • One year of banking experience preferred
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures

Customer Relations Representative Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills, active listening skills, and proven customer service skills
  • Must be detail oriented, able to work under minimal supervision, stay poised under pressure, manage multiple tasks at one time, and interact with co-workers and customers in a professional manner
  • Must have proficient spoken and written English language skills
  • Must have cash handling, general math, and computer skills
