Job description

The Systems Architect I is responsible for discovering and analyzing client needs and implementing them effectively on the proprietary platform, Benefitsolver. This role defines, documents, and performs system configurations while collaborating with the onboarding team members to identify defects and manage rework throughout the implementation cycle. It requires a strong understanding of business processes and tasks to ensure seamless integration and support for others in performing their roles effectively. The position plays a critical part in delivering accurate, efficient onboarding solutions that meet client requirements.

The Gig:

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with customers and produce platform requirements that meet their business and benefits administration needs.
  • Gathers, analyzes, and understands system requirements for the execution of ongoing work and during Annual Enrollment.
  • Work directly with customers to troubleshoot, research, and resolve questions and issues relating to the platform.
  • Partner with Architect II resources to design solutions to ensure best practices are leveraged and identify any downstream impacts.
  • Responsible for completing Decision Support document, work orders and creates work requests for the configuration and analyst resources to execute.
  • Partner with Configuration Specialists and System Design Analysts to support configuration of defined platform requirements.
  • Operates effectively within the project timelines/SLAs to meet and / or exceed expectations and business drivers.
  • Builds trusted client partnerships.

What you need to make the cut:

  • Bachelor's Degree require or equivalent 5+ years' implementation and/or project management experience
  • 3 to 6 years of experience gathering/analyzing data for writing system requirements, performing system configuration, and creating ETL processes for data transactions
  • 1 to 3 years of experience writing test plans & test cases
  • Experience performing requirements gathering, functional and data analysis, and system design and configuration
  • Ability to identify and document data types, rules, mapping, and conversation requirements
  • Experience with a scripting and/or client-side programming language
  • Ability to coordinate and conduct all levels of system and user acceptance testing
  • Ability to maintain system documentation for internal and external use
  • Experience working with multiple projects and collaborating with diverse resources to meet timeline objectives
  • Ability to identify and escalate deficiencies in technical work and implementation plans
  • Good listener, able to apply the knowledge gained effectively
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-profile projects in a fast-aced environment
  • Exceptional client relationship/consultative skill set required

The pay range for this position is 70K to 110K per year (pay to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data). 

This role is eligible to participate in the annual bonus incentive plan.
