This role is ideal for a construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving challenging design and field issues, and is passionate about delivering exceptional results on high-visibility projects.Position OverviewProvides administrative, operational, and technical direction for all aspects of tensile structure construction and engineering of large, complex, commercial, industrial, sports and entertainment, and/or municipal projects. Ensures project is executed to meet or exceed design, schedule, customer satisfaction, profit and cash flow requirements by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.Maintains high moral and ethical standards and conducts himself/herself in a professional manner. Shares knowledge with others in the organization. Upholds the values of Enclos Tensile Structures (ETS) and strictly maintains the company's policies and procedures.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTechnical Design & LeadershipSupport design applications and system selectionEnsure code compliance and technical accuracyLead projects with limited oversight and provide solutions to design challengesProject ManagementDrive post-sale design development and coordinate internal/external meetingsSet up projects (accounting, IT, logs) and manage engineering and submittal processesIdentify and mitigate project risksProcurement & Vendor ManagementLead buyout, level bids, and negotiate pricing and scopeWrite and manage subcontracts and purchase ordersOversee vendor performance, QA/QC compliance, and cost controlSchedule & Cost ControlDevelop and manage project schedules and updatesBuild and manage Schedule of Values (SOV) and monthly billingMonitor cash flow, forecasts, and financial performanceMaintain project control logs and reportingQuality, Safety, & RiskEnsure QA/QC requirements are met across supply chain and constructionLead field testing and safety walksManage change orders, back-charges, and contract administrationField & Team LeadershipTrack labor productivity and partner with field leadership to resolve issuesLead progress meetings with general contractors and project teamsMentor and develop project team membersProject Closeout & CommunicationMaintain clear communication with stakeholdersEnsure timely and organized project closeout RequirementsBachelor's Degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University; preferably in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field, and at least 8 years related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Expertise should include all phases of the tensile structure business, including, but not limited to, blueprint reading, metal, glass, design, engineering, fabrication, and field and installation procedures.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.Proficiency in Microsoft software (Word and Excel.) Project Management Software (for job costing, billing and labor management) is helpful. Knowledge of Primavera or Microsoft Project scheduling software preferred, as well as experience with E-Mail, and cloud-based PM platforms.Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Occasional to frequent travel via airplane as required by project demands.CompensationAt the Enclos family of companies, compensation is determined based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. The successful candidate for the Project Manager role in Buffalo, NY can expect to earn $95,000 to $120,000 per year.
