Job description

Senior Manager โ€“ Managed Services Transitions: Finance Technology Implementationย

CFGI, founded in 2000, is a dynamic and fast-growing financial consulting firm, serving as the trusted partner to CFOs and their organizations. We help clients tackle complex challenges across accounting, corporate finance, M&A, IPO readiness, and digital transformation. We blend deep technical expertise with a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach to help the worldโ€™s leading companies move forward with confidence.ย

CFGIโ€™s Managed Services practice delivers transformative finance and accounting solutions by fully managing operations below the CFO level. We partner with clients to optimize their finance functions, streamline processes, enhance reporting, and enable faster, data-driven decision-making across core finance areas including accounting operations, financial close, and reporting.ย

We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead finance technology implementation workstreams within CFGIโ€™s Managed Services Transitions function. This role is responsible for configuring and deploying the full spectrum of finance and accounting technology that powers our clientsโ€™ operations โ€“ from ERP platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, andย Rilletย to process automation and workflow tools including BILL.com, Ramp, Vic.AI, and similar solutions. The Senior Manager will serve as CFGIโ€™s lead implementor on client onboarding engagements, owning the technology workstream from discovery and design through go-live and handoff to steady-state delivery. This is a high-impact, client-facing role for a hands-on practitioner who combines deep technical implementation expertise with strong finance process knowledge and the ability to drive complex projects across multiple stakeholders and timelines.ย

Roles and Responsibilitiesย

  • Lead end-to-end technology implementation workstreams across client onboarding engagements, covering ERP platforms (NetSuite, SAP,ย Rillet) and financial operations tools (BILL.com, Ramp, Vic.AI, and others), from requirements gathering and system design through configuration, data migration, testing, training, and go-liveย

  • Serve as the primary technology implementation lead on Managed Services transition engagements, partnering closely with the broader transitions team to ensure system readiness aligns with go-live timelines and steady-state delivery requirementsย

  • Conduct current-state assessments of client finance technology environments, identifying gaps, integration needs, and opportunities to rationalize or upgrade systems as part of the transition to CFGIโ€™s Managed Services modelย

  • Design future-state system configurations and workflows that reflect both client requirements and CFGIโ€™s operational standards, ensuring a seamless transition from implementation to ongoing deliveryย

  • Lead client-facing discovery sessions, configuration workshops, UAT cycles, and go-live readiness reviews; manage stakeholder communication across finance, IT, and operations teamsย

  • Identify gaps between client requirements and standard system functionality; develop practical solutions through configuration decisions, process redesign, or integration approaches without unnecessary customizationย

  • Manage implementation project plans, risk logs, issue tracking, and milestone reporting; proactively escalate blockers and keep cross-functional teams alignedย

  • Collaborate with CFGIโ€™s transitions, delivery, and operational teams to ensure technology implementations are fully aligned with how operations will be run in steady stateย

  • Mentor and develop Managers and Consultants on implementation workstreams, building team capabilities across both technical execution and client deliveryย

  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of CFGIโ€™s implementation methodology, toolkits, and playbooks to drive consistency and quality across engagementsย

  • Support business development by contributing to scoping, solutioning, and proposal development for prospective Managed Services clients requiring technology implementation supportย

Qualifications and Capabilitiesย

  • 7โ€“10+ years of experience in finance technology implementation, systems deployment, or finance transformation, with meaningful experience in a consulting or professional services environmentย

  • Demonstrated track record of leading full-cycle implementations of ERP platforms and/or financial operations tools, from discovery through go-live andย hypercareย

  • Hands-on configuration experience with one or more ERP platforms (NetSuite, SAP, orย Rilletย strongly preferred) and familiarity with financial workflow and automation tools such as BILL.com, Ramp, Vic.AI, or comparable solutionsย

  • Strong understanding of core finance and accounting processes โ€“ record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and financial reporting โ€“ and how they are supported and optimized within finance technology systemsย

  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-workstream implementation projects with aggressive timelines, multiple stakeholders, and competing prioritiesย

  • Ability to translate technical system capabilities into clear business terms for finance and accounting stakeholders, and to translate business requirements into actionable system design decisionsย

  • Strong project management skills including planning, status reporting, risk management, and issue resolutionย

  • Experience working within or alongside managed services, outsourcing, or shared services delivery models is a plusย

  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills; comfortable engaging with senior finance leadership as well as hands-on operational teamsย

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) are a plusย

Reporting Structureย

  • Reports to Director within the Managed Services Transitions functionย

  • Works closely with Transitions Managers, Consultants, and cross-functional Managed Services delivery teamsย
